The 2025 Ford Explorer is an innovative SUV that features top-of-the-line technology for entertainment, safety, functional practicality, and performance. Let's dive into the infotainment and technology features, interior and exterior design, performance, safety and driver assistance features, trim comparisons, and why tech lovers looking for cutting-edge technology will want to own the 2025 model.

Unforgettable Changes

The 2025 Explorer lineup was simplified to four trims, featuring a redesigned front fascia with a new grille, lower air inlets, and updated rear taillamps. Additionally, the 2025 Explorer debuts the Ford Digital Experience from Ford.

Tech Tales

The Explorer's most appealing feature for tech geeks is the Digital Experience software, a system that integrates apps and settings from Google, Amazon, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi to create a digital ecosystem inside the car. The 13.2-inch LCD touchscreen infotainment system works alongside the software, allowing users to enjoy streaming from YouTube and other platforms, play Google Play games, and browse the internet while parked. There are eight USB ports, including two for third-row occupants and three 12-volt power sockets.

Beyond the Shell

The Explorer's futuristic design is inspired by clean lines, sleek curves, a larger grille, skid plates, air curtains, and LED lights. The available black-painted roof adds a fashionable edge and makes it stand out from other SUVs. Plus, the "Explorer" emblem on the lift gate provides a stylish touch.

Sanctuary on Wheels

The cabin's entrance is through the soft-closing doors, revealing a spacious interior accommodating up to seven passengers. The interior features premium materials and designs, including soft-touch surfaces on the dashboard, door panels, and centre console. The new dashboard setup provides an open feel, and the standard third row is easy to access through an electronic mechanism that moves the second-row seats with a button.

The Explorer's cargo space is another area where it excels, with up to 2,486 litres of storage capacity with all rear seats folded down, 1,356 litres behind the second row, and 461 litres behind the third row.

Unleashing Power

The 2025 Ford Explorer has four trim levels: the base Active, ST Line, ST, and Platinum. The base Active, ST-Line, and Platinum trims include a turbocharged 2.3-litre four-cylinder engine producing 300 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The ST trim has a turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 rated at 400 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. The 2025 Explorer has a 10-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive as standard, with an all-wheel-drive option available.

Safety Personified

The 2025 Explorer is packed with standard safety and driver-assistance features, including forward-collision warning, blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist. Self-parking assistance is available as an upgrade.

Trim Variants

The 2025 Ford Explorer provides customers with a choice of four trim levels. Options range from the base Active model starting at $52,830*, to the mid-range ST Line and Platinum trims priced at $58,830* and $62,930* respectively. The top-tier ST 4WD trim, priced at $71,430*, tops the lineup.
